I got this book out the Library recently; it was a bit of a disappointment.
I am a level 2 practitioner, and have studied from two schools.
The book starts off ok and has a few useful points of interest like the precepts in Japanese. A section exploring the individual precepts was quite interesting.
But the author spends a lot of time talking about non-Reiki subjects. A very large part of the book is dedicated to alternative treatment called "The Emotional Freedom Technique".
Not a recommended read sorry; I feel that Penelope Quest went off at a tangent on this one. The Art of Japanese Reiki, or The Reiki Source Book would be a stronger recommendation.
One to get out of the Library perhaps,but not one to buy.

First Reiki book I bought on a new journey in life. Lovely little book, a great start and easy read. Really gets you thinking about the subject and how you can incorporate Reiki into your life.

A really lovely book. It helps you change your life around, but you really have to want to.
It's about healing youirself and growing spiritually and achieving happiness.
It teaches you to live in the now, live without anger live with kindness, all very difficult to do, believe me it's not easy to live this way, but I for one would very much like to, which in it's self is a beginning.

I have read a few books on Reiki and these are definitely worth a read for anyone interested in spirituality, learning Reiki, or for anyone who is trained in any level of Reiki. Read more
