I will never forget the day I got this book through the post. I wish I could go back and read it again for the first time. It will make you so happy or cheer you up I guarantee it! Make a hot chocolate/nice drink, sit on your own somewhere quiet and delve in with an open mind. You will become so inspired by the words, the quotes and the activities! At first you may not find the activities appealing being an adult, but give it a couple of hours/days and you will find yourself creeping back with a pair of scissors and some glue to happily cut out the cool stuff in it. It's your book so go for it! I have stuck the postcards from the back of the book on my wall.
It may sound strange but this book has quite literally changed my life. It has made me start writing a journal, led me to read other similar inspiring books (recommended at the end) and now I do allsorts of creative things daily with a much happier outlook on my life. I have realised a lot about myself such as there is a lot more to life than work! You can still have fun being grown up.
(Note this book is aimed at women). I cannot recommend this book enough! Buy it now!

I received this book at a transitionary period in my life. I was in a slump and stuck in a rut and didn't know what to do with myself. That all changed when I received thisbook. It is full of encouragement, and wonderful wacky ideas to help get you out of yourself and onto paper. It is also full of ideas for projects that will keep you occupied for hours on end, making you feel like a child again while stimulating your creativity in the long run. The author doesn't tell you 'how' to do things, and she states this at the begininng, saying that the mistake that most of these "creative how to books" make is trying to force their creative excersises on you and telling you that you need to do this and that in order to benefit from their teachings. Instead, she simply makes suggestions that aim to fuel your creativity. And it works. Her ideas make you want to get up and make a change in your life and a difference in your world. Whether it's because you are having an artist's block or simply want to start leading a more creative life then look no further than this book. It quite literally changed my life.

I was given this book, and am so pleased that I was. I am usually a browser, but sat and read it from cover to cover. Its has so many lovely ideas in it, and is beautifully produced with a handmade feel. It includes postcards, games, stickers and ideas for simple activities which aim to spark your creativity and take time for yourself. It is a truly healing book, definately one for women and something I would like to buy all my female friends. I can't think of a bad word to say about it. I feel blessed to own it.

This is like a children's activity book for adults - it feeds the inner child in all of us! I loved the book but I don't think it will appeal to everyone and that's why I wanted to upload a video showing me flicking through the pages so you can get a better idea of what this book is like.

The style of the book is quite child-like and there are lots of stickers and bits to cut out. It's filled with lots of inspirational quotes, tips and activities and the tone throughout is uplifting and motivating. The author of this book writes from her own experiences and talks about how she finds inspiration from her life. The idea behind the whole book is to get you DOING things - doodling, thinking, writing, playing - whatever it is that's going to inspire creativity and help you to feel happier and more fulfilled in life! Cheerful, fun and motivating!

After reading the three great reviews for this book, I was very disappointed by it. I bought a selection of creative books to inform and inspire me. This is the only one that didn't come close to doing either.
It is a strange mix of activities and a self help book.
The presentation and activities in the book are probably more suitable for younger people, but to me as an adult, they were not inspiring.
Some sections look a bit like those circular emails that go around- ` Ten things I've Learned from Women' and `Celebrate Solitude' Nothing that I haven't seen before in lots of self help books, but the interpretation here is rather simplistic. Others have done it better.

It obviously inspired the other reviewers, but this one was not for me.

This book enables creativity rather than just sitting down writing and reading. It encourages children to make decisions which they can do on their own. What is also great is that those children who may be less academic can show their creative side which gives them confidence.
