For those that are interested in life after death, Larry Rosenberg's "Living in the Light of Death: On the Art of Being Truly Alive" is ground-breaking, giving information and meditation techniques which will enable the reader to accept with equanimity, passages in and out of life that everybody has to come to terms with. It is a handbook which can be referred to but is also practical in it's information. I found chapters like 'Ageing is unavoidable' both illuminating and also comforting because this a subject that is rarely addressed in this way.

I unreservedly recommend this book for any human being experiencing any crisis in their life.

This book is one that deserves to be read slowly and softly. It's a book that will help you understand illness, death and life changes in a new and compassionate way. Many books on Buddhism I have started and let go - Larry Rosenberg's book is one that you can keep near as a companion

I tried some of the contemplations Larry suggests in here at the end of a meditation retreat. Was really powerful and really showed to me what is / is not important in life. Definitely worth a read.
