5.0 out of 5 stars Revealing, personal, loved it!!! 29 Sep 2013
By Mantra Man - Published on
I've loved Sara Wiseman's work from the beginning, but her latest book has knocked my socks off! The first thing is, it's extremely personal and revealing, which to me was a big surprise--I didn't expect that. The second is that in allowing such a close view into her own life, I was able to look at own life in a new way. Third, it's written as stories, so I was able open it to any place and just start reading--it all makes sense wherever I opened to. Each story was a powerful lesson based in real life scenarios. I really like this format as it never gets old to "crack open the book" and see what the lesson for the day shall be

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! 29 Sep 2013

Have you ever wondered "why me?" or perhaps "why am I here?" Wiseman helps us answer those questions in an easy-to-read-and-understand way.
Her writing voice is warm and authentic. Reading her written words is almost like chatting over coffee (or tea) with your best friend. There is a wonderful grace in her style and a profound sensitivity in her understanding of life's many moments...some of which are not necessarily pleasant.

If you've ever sat with your head in your hands feeling alone, uncertain, confused or if you've ever wondered........well, if you're alive, basically....then this book is for you.

Wiseman has helped me understand things I hadn't before (even though I thought I did) and has helped bring to active memory some wonderful memories that were buried away. This book has helped me find forgiveness that I needed to offer. It has changed me and my outlook for the future in wonderful and positive ways. Profoundly mesmerizing to read and contemplate. Bound to become a reference book you will want to refer back to time after time.

I highly recommend this book to anyone breathing and if you know someone who can't read, read it to will both benefit. Namaste.

5.0 out of 5 stars Living A Life Of Gratitude 19 Sep 2013
By Jamie - Published on
When I saw "Living a Life of Gratitude" available to read and that the author was from Oregon I was excited. I love supporting local authors. I live in Washington just over the Columbia River to Oregon.

I gleaned a lot of new perspectives in reading Wiseman's book. One of the things I took from reading her book is being thankful for every small thing, from breathing, to holding your child or pet or spouse, and just being thankful for the ability to move.

I also so a kindred spirit in the way she wrote about her own illness and how it transitioned her into the next chapter of her life. I have experienced that same transition with my own illness and though there is no cure for mine and I am still battling it. I am also thankful for the small things that appear in my life as blessings.

Wiseman is a good author and has a lot of insight into things. Check it out and you will be blessed too.

What a wonderful, easy, peaceful, read. I am delighted to be guided to read such an amazing journey of life, that is easily anyones life. When you come back to the book, after a few minutes of reading and then recalling events in your own life, its easy to relate to and easy book to come back to the book. As the Author writes "The good, the bad, the All of it", really sums up beautifully well written journey into Sara Wisemans life and how she came across using her love, calmness, peace, joy, and how she opens her heart to connect with everyone. Every life is amazing. Sara's is a human heart filled with Grace and love. The Good, the Bad, the All of it. 5 stars
