I ordered this calendar after having one last year. I am learning to speak italian and love having a new phrase each day which I can learn. The information pages about Italy and the italian way of life are very informative and interesting.

I would recommend this item to anyone who loves Italy and the italian language.

This is a real help with learning Italian. I just put it on repeat in the car but it is even better if you can read the book at the same time. Good value.

Given as an Xmas present and was well received so cannot give an informed response but it seemed to be good for someone who is learning Italian.

Good Way to Practice Italian 23 Dec 2013
By M. Gnemmi - Published on Amazon.com

I buy the new edition each year and every morning as I turn the page to the next day, I try to read the Italian before I look at the English translation. Sometimes it is very helpful, sometimes the phrases are not useful but still I consider it a great way to keep up on my Italian.

Helps me to practice my Italian 30 Nov 2013

Love this calendar. Has become a routine for my coworkers to ask me what the word of the day is. And I enjoy testing myself to see if I can translate without checking the answer. This year, I bought them for gifts for several people.
It's Teaching You a Word A Day, So... 9 April 2014
By Jill - Published on Amazon.com

Are you going to learn to speak Italian by learning a word a day from a calendar? No. But if you already know a little of the basics, you can pick up some new words (not just the word of the day but also the other words in the example sentence). It is exactly what you think it is. The only thing I don't love are there are a few days interspersed where, instead of a word of the day, it's a paragraph describing some tourist attraction in Italy. I don't love these pages but sometimes they give me a chance to catch up if I fall behind.
Don't pay much attention to this calendar 10 Mar 2014

Phrases are far from practical. I was looking forward to learning a phrase a day but when it's something that I know I'll never use I don't bother to learn it
