4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting & worthwhile read 5 April 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Can I firstly say, how ironic it is, to read a book about simplicity, which advises to cut down on social networking, to then finish reading it and straight away be asked to tweet about it!!! Beggars belief lol.

Indeed it was a valuable read, all very basic points that you would know anyway but good to be reminded. Worded well and at no point is it condescending which is a pet hate of mine.

Now , I didn't give it full star marks because I would of perhaps of liked the book to have a couple more chapters in it regarding better use of time with family and such so as not to over stretch and would like to of heard the authors view of Christmas also.

All that said, it does what it says on the tin and I enjoyed the read. A good use of 10 minutes.

This book is good enough, but all of the information can be found on the Internet for free. That being said its not expensive and is a well written, easy read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't Get Enough of Living In the Land of Enough 5 Jan 2012
By Heidi - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm not one who's going to go to the extreme of moving into a small house or give up all of my clothes to wear a single black dress for a year. That's why I love Courtney's approach to living simply: creating life-long changes to our daily tasks that are actually easy to accomplish. I'm so excited to get started! Her tips like when to answer e-mails, ways to lead a more effective workday and even how to make that bathroom scale read a lower number are all easy steps to help me help myself and create the life I crave. I especially loved her approach to debt reduction and spending habits, definite tips I'm taking to the bank. To put money in instead of taking it out! Great book Courtney, thank you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Short book. Lifelong lessons. 14 Dec 2011
By andrew odom - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I've been a fan of Courtney Carver since I first discovered her blog in late 2010. Not only is her writing straightforward and approachable, it is authentic and passionate. Living in the Land of Enough is a great little eBook with an amazing price considering all the thoughts, tips, and suggestions it presents. With web links and viewable examples, Carver again shows us that living with less can actually mean living for more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Enough To Inspire 1 Feb 2012
By Debra Eve - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I find many minimalist authors take their philosophy to extremes, but I've always enjoyed Courtney's practical approach. This little book can be read in 30 minutes. You've heard it all before. But have your implemented it? Courtney shares points and further reading to help you there.

I particularly liked her "closet sorting" approach. It acknowledges we hold onto stuff, not because we need it, but because we like it or it has emotional value. An excellent reminder of what's important.

5.0 out of 5 stars So good! 13 Oct 2012
By Rebecca A. Hyde - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I picked up this book thinking that it would be a good read about parring down my stuff, but it was so much more than that. It was very much the accumulation of stuff vs. the intentional possession of key things from a spiritual perspective. Love!
