This CD is a true masterpiece of old and new raggae music by one of the leading artists in the Raggae Scene.

As this CD is a fairly new release I thought It may be dissapointing but little did I know, as it is just so good. It includes Horace's older tracks for example, MY LORD which is a classic old track and TRUE LOVE. These and other tracks form the basis of a very mellow, chilled-out and relaxing album.

The tracks also have a good and positive meaning being put across which is yet another good point of the album.

The Music production on the CD is of excellent quality and is well produced, arranged and compiled. The majority of the album has very good tracks, maybe the odd one you may not like but overall this album is a cracker. In terms of playing time the album is a little short in duration time but it's the quality and not the quantity which is most important.

The sounds that Horace Andy has used are brilliant and very pleasing to the ear. The deep bass lines accompanied by the sharp and crystal clear treble cuts, not to mention the brilliant vocals form a very well composed raggae CD. I highly recommend this CD to New and Old Raggae fans alike!!!

This is still my favourite CD and has been for a couple of years. This is Horace's best CD, every track is brilliant. Can't get enough of 'living in the flood'.

5.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF 2000'S 10 BEST CDS 19 Mar 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I gotta tell ya, I'm not much of a fan of reggae. I do only admire 2 artists of the genre: Bob Marley and this man, Horace Andy. He is a wonder! I don't dance well w/ reggae. I dance better with techno/electronica. LIVING IN THE FLOOD suddenly got me dancing the reggae beat with every track. I was surprised. I never knew much of Horace Andy until I 1st heard him doing guest work on Massive Attack's last 3 CDS. You gotta hear him on the very haunting "Man Next Door" from Massive Attack's '98 masterpiece, MEZZANINE. He just grew on me. I had to buy his new CD, his 1st in 10 yrs. I'm glad I did. There are 14 tracks here. However I think he added a hidden track after song #14. That mystery track is worth it. Song 14, a remix of "After All" is very nicely done by Mad Professor. A tiny problem: there's no lyric book here which is unfortunate. Reading/singing the lyrics are a true necessity. Still a fantastic CD by the legendary Horace Andy. GREAT JOB.

4.0 out of 5 stars NIce Come Back 24 Mar 2000
By Kevin Blake - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This Cd is Horace's first release of new material in a decade. Sometimes when "old school" reggae artists try to make a comback in the present time it comes out cheesy nothing like their old material. This is not the case. While this is not his best work it still sounds nice. There are a couple of vintage Horace Andy songs on here. If your a fan dont be hesistant to pick up this excellent Cd.
