Living With Deerhounds is an informative and honest book about this dignified and majestic breed. It is easy to read and contains some humourous anecdotes about the author's own dogs. It covers all aspects of caring for deerhounds whether you are interested in dog showing or owning a loyal companion to curl up on the sofa with. It does give helpful tips and advice on such matters as choosing your first deerhound, feeding, health, puppy care, breeding and showing. It contains black and white photographs of deerhounds: in the showring, running, puppies,in the snow, on the sofa and just posing!I have found it very helpful even though I have owned deerhounds for 10 years.
