5.0 out of 5 stars excellent book 1 Mar 2007
By Azure
Format:Paperback
This is the most informative book I have read on living in Crete, or Greece for that matter. It gives you loads of information, people to contact, government departments, etc. I even emailed the author with a question and she responded, most helpfully right away.

I highly recommend this book to anyone hoping to move to Crete, or just wanting information.

This is an EXCELLENT overall guide to settling in Crete. Very informative and loaded with lots of practical information. My only complaint is that it is written from a UK perspective - it gives no information for those not from the UK or the Euro zone. As a North American about to build and settle in Crete, I face a much different process and 10 times the bureaucratic paper shuffling.

Still, I will carry this book with me as it is very very helpful. And I will recommend to others. So glad I found this book and was delighted how astonishingly fast Amazon UK shipped it to Canada - less than a week!

I would say this book is a must for anyone considering buying a property in Greece whether as a holiday home or living as permanent residents. It is a very informative book and gives you many things to think about and also what types of questions to ask the company that you are buying your property from.

Valuable information presented in a straight forward, well organized to-the-point manner being comprehensive yet succinct, which I appreciated very much. With an added feature of a website link for updated info. Nicely done resource book.
