Just a quick note. I'm not sure why Amazon refer to me as Barclaycard. I don't work for or endorse Barclaycard.
As with many of you reading this posting I've used a computer for many years and as like some of you I feel my writing skills fade away, so I looked to put this right!.
Past life if I were to attend a meeting I'd write notes then scan them as PDF's to save on my computer. The Livescribe pen seem to give me this without scanning. There are other pens out there that make a big shout that they don't need special paper what they don't seem shout about is that you need a receiver for the pen so when you are out, pen, receiver and paper required. With Livescribe pen and special notebook is all you take with you.
The note books are of good quality they have stiff covers, ring binding turns the pages back on them selves well, are 4 hole punched if you want to save them in a folder, pages are perforated and easy to remove from the books. Front of the book have a sleeve to hold removed or loose sheets of paper. At the moment I'm using 4 books for different subjects and events. I liked the grid of this book, good for sketches mixed in with the hand written content.
Even though they cost more (a bit) than plain paper there are distinct advantages. The pen down loads the pages to your computer just as the PDF's of yesteryear, now with the added benefit of connected speech, oh yes, those other pens don't record what is being said as you write. Ah another point not advertised. Use your pen as a dictaphone, listen to the recording making notes in you book after the event and the recording is linked to your post event written content.
Oh. did I mention I wrote this review using the book and converted it to computer text.
Only 4 stars? The book does cost a bit more than a standard note book.
