5.0 out of 5 stars Liverpool's past by Liverpool's present 4 May 2011
By Richard
Format:Audio CD
21 of the 50 odd Liverpool chart toppers so there should be a 2nd volume. It would be interesting to see who does How Much Is That Doggie In The Window?-which was the first.
Elvis Costello I should point out wasn't actually born in Liverpool but in London though he was baptised at Birkenhead which makes him s Liverpudlian by proxy.
This is a CD which will soon be deleted as it was a topical item

5.0 out of 5 stars Fab! 2 April 2009
Format:Audio CD
I love this album! I was lucky enough to see the concert in Liverpool and it was amazing.
My personal highlight of this album is Anthony Hannah. His interpetation of Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood is outstanding. His voice at the start is breathtaking.
Deffo worth buying just for Anthony.

1.0 out of 5 stars Painful 7 Mar 2008
Format:Audio CD
I've just played the album right through. I'll never do that again. Hearing the Beatles songs butchered so badly is too much for me, particularly the ones where they changed the melodies. It's The Beatles, alright? You can't do better than the original melodies!! A few songs are mildly interesting, but overall it really wasn't worth the effort to make this, or my money to buy it.

3.0 out of 5 stars THE SCAFFOLD STILL RULE 24 Oct 2011
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Bearing in mind that anything by Sonia is best listened to from the next room with the door closed, it's little wonder that The Scaffold's contribution to this compilation is so far ahead of the rest that it does indeed stand out like a sore thumb.
Come back messers Gorman, McGough and McCartney - it's been far too long...
And no, it's NOT time for an Atomic Kitten reunion tour.
