Product Description

  • March 1982 – Liverpool 3, Everton 1
  • November 1982 – Liverpool 5, Everton 0
  • November 1983 – Liverpool 3, Everton 0

Brought to you by Retro Videos, extended highlights of three early eighties derbies – including the demolition of Goodison Park in 1982. One derby from each Championship winning season as Liverpool became only the third team in history to win three consecutive league titles. The 5-0 match in particular demonstrates the awesome brilliance of Liverpool at their best. Take yourself back to a time when English and European football was dominated by Liverpool, a time when the Everton side that went on to win two league championships themselves were routinely routed. A time when Liverpool were indisputably the Pride of Merseyside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why can't we still be this good? 3 Jun 2004
By A Customer
I'm too young to have seen these players live, and other than short clips have not ever seen them play before. I knew they were good, just not this good. Alan Hansen would play in any team that has ever existed, Rush was just a goal machine. Makes me realise exactly how far we've come from then to what we watch now. Great footage of the Kop as well, I would have loved to stand on there - even just the once.
