I'd long been considering buying this DVD set & after receiving it as a present earlier this year I quickly sat down to watch it and have to say it's a great few hours worth of enjoyment.

Each of the three Managers have approximately an hour of main programming dedicated to each of them & what I was particularly impressed with was the fact that I hadn't previously seen much of the footage presented & I do own a large number of Liverpool FC related DVD's & videos. Additional to the main programmes there's also a number of extra features although I did find some of these a little random !

The coverage of Dalglish's shock departure strongly brought the feelings back when I was an 18 year old and discovered my all-time hero was leaving us. Similar to this was the superb footage when Shankly resigned and a tv crew ventured out onto the streets of Liverpool to break the news to an unsuspecting public.

The production of the programmes themselves could be more professional & if this was a BBC product as opposed to being ITV produced then I would have probably awarded this 5* instead of just 4. It's still a great purchase for any Liverpool fan who either wants to remember what it was like when they were the most successful club in the land or any younger fans that wish to learn of the illustrious, but still recent history of the club.

Right... here's what you get, 2 DVDs, both have the same menu option Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish. 1st DVD gives you 2 games from the respective manager, Shanks games are us beating Everton 3-2 sometime in the late 60s and the european cup semi final 1st leg 3-1 win against Inter, Paisley games are 7-0 against Spurs and the St ettiene game, Dalglish games are 2 5-0 wins against Forest 1988 and 1989 I think. Now for the real jem the 2nd DVD, (has I said before has the same menu option) basically gives 3 brillinat biography flims about each manager with a really good chapter selection option also. All 3 have loads of top footage and the Dalglish one is outstanding with a really good insight to the 86 double winning season, and yes the my favorite goal of all time, the last day goal at stamford brigde is there in all its glory. Now I don't own any of the Ultimate Liverpool collections so I can't comment on whether this stuff is all ready covered on these DVDs but that said this is a brilliantly put together DVD and pound for pound without doubt the best DVD I've ever bought, I can't recommend it enough, hope this helps if this DVD is what your looking for, also p&p was free and I recieved it with in 48hrs of ordering it.

A hour dedicated to each of Liverpool's greatest managers, some excellent footage of three legends. Simply a must for any Liverpool fan young or old.
