Whenever I've listened to Frightened Rabbit's 'The Midnight Organ Fight' I've often thought they might be holding back a bit.. but this live recording really makes the band come alive! i absolutely love it, the instrumentation, now stripped-down brings Scott Hutchison's vocal delivery to the fore, emphasising his emotive lyrics and beautiful melodies...

'Frightened Rabbit' have captured a terrific live sound with this album. It's got clarity, all and more of the urgency of their album songs and real energy. What's more, the acoustic guitar and vocals which drive the songs are to the fore in the mix, adding to the intimacy and sheer joy of the songs.
If only more live albums were like this - instead you get muddiness, poor mixing and beat-led tracks and variable vocals.
A good job done here! I would not normally recommend a live album as a starting point for newcomers - here I definitely would. For fans, this is an essential addition.

I have only recently discovered the FRs. I was reading a copy of MOJO and someone said that they were excellent. I looked them up on You Tube. They are indeed first rate. I promptly orered three of their CDs. This is one of the finest Live music CDs I have ever heard. They are an incredibly original and competent band. They do swear a bit though !!! This Cd was delivered promptly and at a good price.
