This is a wonderful, quirky book about how liveliness can sometimes go a little bit wrong! Mara Bergman's story is full of fun and exuberance, and is fantastic to read aloud to children. Cassia Thomas' beautiful illustrations are full of character and playfulness, combined with charming attention to detail - you can almost imagine Lively Elizabeth tumbling off the page... this book is a must have for children everywhere!

I bought this picture book for myself as I'm an illustrator, and I really enjoyed it. I especially love the way Cassia Thomas draws the characters, with distinctive and quirky outfits and headgear. I also think that the expressions of the characters are really fantastic and capture childish anxiety perfectly, especially the drawings where Elizabeth is contrite. The illustrations themselves are very charming. I think that spirited children will really love this story and relate to Elizabeth's feisty character. Well worth a buy!

My daughter loves this book. Amazing illustrations as well as a great story. I suggest this book to anyone who has a little child that not know what "consequences" mean yet!
