Most people die prematurely. These days we should be living 120 years. There are also plenty of books to read about extending your life but this book is one you should read sooner than later. I'd recommend this book to anyone over thirty who wants to live a long and healthy life.

How many servings of fruit and vegetables should be eaten each day?
What is the reason smokers have an increased risk of heart disease?
Can exercising too much actually harm your immune system?
Why does eating peanuts raise your metabolism?
Can eating more vegetables really prevent you from getting cataracts?
Did you know that talking to pets increases endorphins in the brain?

Sally Brown has a very pleasant writing style. She makes the topic of "growing younger" a lot of fun. She discusses the problem of free radicals, explains how you can avoid getting cancer by doing simple things and tells you why sugar can cause wrinkles. She also talks about why it is essential that you walk each day. Other topics include good sleeping habits, why you should watch more comedies and why social support is so important.

This book covers so many topics it is hard to list them all. It even delves a little into how spirituality can help you live longer. By reading "Live Longer" you will learn so many excellent things. There is quite a bit of information on what you should eat to counteract the aging process. Get ready to make a shopping list that includes things like oatmeal, blackberries, spinach, sweet potatoes, yogurt, sardines, black beans, olive oil, plums, grapes, broccoli and more. This book explains the reasons to eat certain foods to age more gracefully.

I really enjoyed reading Sally Brown's book. She makes the topics fun to learn about and there are many things you can put into practice immediately to feel better fast. I'd recommend you have a pad of paper handy while reading this book to write down all the excellent ideas. This is one of the best books on health I've ever read. It should have hundreds of reviews!
