Simply put-Queen Adreena are entirely about their live shows. The unpredictable outbursts, the haunting music and Kate Jane Garside's mesmerizing voice. After listening to this set anyone that hasn't yet caught them live will
definitely be enticed into buying a ticket the next time that they are in town.

I've seen this lot and they are one of the most extraordinarily awesome (and I mean that in the true sense of the word) rock n roll bands Britain has given bloody birth to. Merciless is another word I use to describe the onslaught from start to finish. The pounding, mesmeric bass of "medicine jar" (it's better on the "the butcher & the butterfly") the fragile "Birds nest hair" comes to a violent end, as you knew it would, when Crispin Gray's chainsaw maniac guitar drills through your head into "Ascending stars". Queen Adreena are always there they appear to record and play live whenever they please. I do disagree with the other review that states QA are a live band only, not true, anyone who has the three studio albums can testify there is some clever art going on in the room next to rock n roll both of which they do with a confidence that worries the shit out of the record industry... you're not supposed to be that clever that artistic that violent..and get away with it!
The incredible Katie Jane Garside conducts the shows tempo like some crazed but beautifully lost child who woke from the nightmare to find herself on stage playing it out to a crowd baying for more truly exciting

go see em live if you can but buy this album if you wanna torture yerself as to what you could have seen if you had already caught them live.

The one downside to this album is the appalling packaging, the record company obviously decided to 'chuck' this album out with no thought or care. The cover art is fine but to find only a single sheet as booklet reminds me of the crap you get at petrol stations shame on you injuns!!
