This book is fine as a basic introduction but there is no depth to it, most of it is common sense and there is too much about property buying which is something that really should be done at a later rather than earlier stage. Comprehensive? There is probably more free and useful information available online than in this book.

I love this little guide - clearly the author knows lots about the country and all the stuff about red tape is really reassuring! It's got loads of colour photos and maps and is nicely laid out, much clearer than some books. It's also down to earth about all the pros and cons about living in Spain, and the reasons people move there! Highly recommended.

Live and Work in Spain. This is a very comprehensive book regarding aspects of living and working in Spain. It is written mostly from the UK/EU perspective, so as an American I had to do a bit more sifting to find relevant information. The only 'critical' comment I would make about the book is that the ink used to print the writing is quite light and it is a bit difficult to read.
