I wasn't surprised to see this was written by an Australian as it contains a lot more hard information on finding work than some guides - clearly the author knows the country very well and that shows, making the book accurate and comprehensive and a good place to find out all the key facts about visas, residence permits and how to go about getting a job. A good buy.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got this to find it was much more comprehensive than I was expecting - I though it'd be a small little thing but it's a really thorough guide, full of bits and pieces that you don't really bother searching for online - road etiquette, tax rate, discussion of major suburbs, the fact that espresso is called 'short black'... definitely the thing to refer to if you're considering emigrating.

If you are considering the big move down under, I would sugest you purchase this book. The book provides in depth knowledge of the culture, economy, environment etc and is a perfect way of gleaning the appropriate information before making those all important decisions. It has given me and my family the confidence and peace of mind to make such a move...
