Not the classic three piece line up of The Groundhogs, but enjoyable enough. It mostly features songs off the Crosscut Saw album, with one from Solid and a couple of classics from Split (Split part 2 and Cherry Red) to finish off.

A recently pinned down this group, from a track I have know for nearly forty years without knowing who the group was or what the track was called. The track was called Eleventh Hour. Once I discovered that I went on a bit of a buying spree. For me their best albums are either the early bluesy stuff or the album Crosscut Saw, This is ok for a live album, but I do prefer the studio albums, it's good but I think it could have been better.

excellent live recording 2 Jun. 2005

i'm glad to see a live cd of the groundhogs that isn't full of their "standards". this was recorded in 1976 and covers tunes from my favorite release "solid", "crosscut saw" and "split". this version of the hogs is a 4 piece with dave wellbelove as the second guitarist. the recording quality is excellent and the songs well done. for a change of pace, and sound, get this cd. would like to see more live stuff from the "solid" cd, but this will have to do. informative booklet with pictures are included with the cd. good addition to anyones hogs collection.

Crosscut Saw tour 7 May 2007
By Jerry Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is from the very underrated crosscut saw tour of '76. Fine live sound quality and a gem in one of my favorite hogs songs eleventh hour. This also features the best live version of their classic cherry red. I was very happy with this one and I have pretty much all the hogs material.Jerry.
