This is number 10 of a planned series of 30 Live "beat thee bootleggers" CDs by PSYCHIC TV.
Fifty-five minutes of punk/psychedelia/horror/krautrock/improvisational freak-out/melody/excitement and believe or not fun!
Musicians on this album ;-
Genesis P-Orridge-voices,congas,noise guitar
Matthew Best-drums
Alex Ferguson-lead guitars
Philip Erb-EMU2,keyboards
Dave Martin-bass guitar
This set was recorded in Toronto in 1987 and is limited to 1,000 copies
Tracks; L-IF-E
DEPRAVITY
L.A.ANGEL
SHE TOUCHED ME
RIOT IN THEE EYE OV SKYE
ACID JAM MAPLE SYRUP
UNCLEAN
JUST DRIFTING
If you have never heard Psychic TV, expect thee unexpected and take a chance, if you are already a believer this seems as good a place as any to start on the live series and the prices on amazon are very reasonable

I have to disagree with previous reviews on this disc.I was very disappointed with this release, and that despite the fact that this was one of my favourite PTV live lps back on the vinyl.
The problem is the sound.I am sure the vinyl lp was far superior. Some tracks are rendered unlistenable here due to a low rumbling sound which actually makes me feel sick!
This gets most intense on the"acid jam"track, which was not on the original lp,and always sounded terrible on the"maple syrup"video.I suspect that this cd may have been taken from the video, hence the awful sound.
Worst of all, where is the superb"seduce me",one of the best moments of the entire live series-unaccountably missing, despite there being enough space on a disc to have included it!
The terrible sound and the lack of"seduce me"made this, for me,the most disappointing of the series so far!

Live PTV show from early 1987. This was previously released on lp and is a great performance - one of my faves in the series. This is Psychic TV in their hyperdelic-rock phase - mixing rock songs with psychedelia - this show was performed just after the release of 'Godstar'. The quality of sound on this reissue is excellent, and is a big improvement on the original lp release from the mid-80's. The sleeve notes by Genesis P-Orridge are v informative and intresting and add to the excellence of the release. Another cd well worth buying - well, they all are, aren't they???
