There are many DISCHARGE disciples around the world, and Sweden is famous for its Dis-scene, but the Swedish sound is much faster, rawer, harder and decidedly heavier than the original version. The Swedes are not mere replicas, they hold their own.

One such band was ANTI-BOFORS, emerging in 1989 from the suburbs of Nyköping. ANTI-BOFORS released a 7” on their own label No ... Read more in Amazon's Disfear Store

5.0 out of 5 stars This Album is Sweet 3 Mar 2008
By Bret - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This album is fast-paced and fist-pumping-awesome-as-hell.

If you like At The Gates' "Slaughter of the Soul" then you have an idea what to expect but in my opinion this overtakes that album. I absolutely love the backup vocals here and I guarantee that you'll find yourself shouting along with the songs on the chorus. If you don't already have this I strongly recommend it. Five stars all around!

4.0 out of 5 stars killer record 17 April 2008
By Woodrow - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Buy this CD, it rules. The music is total Motorhead meets Discharge with intense Negative Approach vocals. Killer.

Check out Mighty High...In Drug City while you're at it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great follow-up to the last LP 8 April 2008
By Joseph Broze - Published on Amazon.com

Imagine the singer of At The Gates yelling over some rockin' hardcore punk/metal heavily influenced by Motorhead and Doom? That's what you have here. Tragedy is a good comparison as well, though those guys were actually influenced by Disfear's early and mid 90s work!

Disfear are a classic punk/metal/hardcore band and deserve your support. I am glad to see these Swedes are still holding the banner high in 2008. Cheers
4.0 out of 5 stars All hail the Swedish MotoCharge worshippers! 30 May 2010

If you love to mix your metal stew with Discharge and Motorhead, this is for you. Add to that the caustic vox of At The Gates' former lead singer Thomas and you have a recipe for sweet auditory disaster (I mean that in a good way...). This is great stuff and will send the neighbors packing if they hate the harsh.
4.0 out of 5 stars Killer album -Or- The way punk should be (4.5/5 stars) 14 Oct 2008

Man am I delinquent in reviewing this album or what?

Anyway, Hardcore/D-Beat/Metal supergroup Disfear (featuring members of At The Gates and Entombed) are back with a new album. "Live The Storm" shows the band bloom from a 4 piece to a 5 piece since their previous album. They keep up with the whole "Motorhead meets D-Beat" theme in the scheme of things, only now it's a lot more metal sounding because they have a band that's more full to round things out. All of the songs are excellent for driving on a cross-country trip where you're fueled on caffiene (or whatever prescription medication your doctor may give you for ADD) where you're on some crazy endeavor to satiate the thirst of Odin. Okay, maybe not that crazy, but there's still some killer tracks on here. The opener, Get It Off, is freakin' sweet. I've heard Deadweight on satellite radio before, so maybe that's what constitutes their "radio hit." My personal favorite is the last track, Phantom, which is the longest on the CD.

I recommend you get the album, either on CD format or downloaded from either Amazon or iTunes. It's a legit CD and shows that good punk will never die.
