I travelled from Newcasle to see the Franks at their hometown and was really glad that I did. I didn't realise that it was being filmed and one thing you can say is that it was the perfect gig to memorialise forever. They belted out their normal collection of amazing indie gems, and had a woman join them for the haunting New York. From the new album to the best from Trains, boats and planes they never lose the knack of writing superb heartfelt indie songs and double up with being genuinely nice lads who will bend over backwards to speak and interact with their fans.
A fantastic recording of a fantastic gig of a fantastic band, I can't recommend it highly enough. A 90's indie band that are releasing better material now and deserve to be listened to more.
