One of the first Grant Green albums that I owned and it is certainly one of his best. The music and musicianship on this album is enthralling. This album has everything, especially being a live album and listening to the crowd really getting heated up. Grant was a very special guitarist who happened to be one of George Benson's favourites and this album demonstrates his great wide ranging abilities.
Flood in franklin Park and Jan Jan are probably the two tracks that stand out most but that is not to underestimate any of the other tracks which cook. There is even a nice version of Donaly Byrd's Fancy Free and a brilliant version of Betcha by Golly Wow. Buy it and appreciate it.
The only downside is that they were unable to incorporate all of the album onto CD but apart from that minor gripe is sincerely is something that you will contiually play year after year.
