5.0 out of 5 stars One Night In Pheonix 11 May 2008
By The Wolf TOP 100 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
Format:Audio CD
It's a lazy Sunday morning in Wolf Cave. The sun is at last shining
and another fine fat piglet is roasting slowly in the oven.
The scent of garlic and thyme almost intoxicating.
Simple contentment comes in many forms.

Scatty and Grits (The Cubs) are very excited today.

Already owning Fall Out Boy's back catalogue in its' entirety has
not prevented them from investing in this splendid new live album.

The recording's appearance, you will doubtless already know, has arrived
simultaneously with the DVD release of the same Pheonix concert.

The boys are disappointed in not having been able to afford both and
complain incessantly about not getting enough pocket money but on
this occasion I am determined to stand firm.

This is a fine live album which would seem to capture well the atmosphere
at the Pheonix Cricket Pavillion (The Wolf was until now unaware that our American
Cousins had any interest in, or understanding of, this most arcane of British pastimes)
on the evening of June 22nd 2007.

Being half the height of the average human, not to mention the four feet and a tail,
generally precludes my attendance at concert events.
Having the opportunity of sharing in some part of what was, by all accounts,
a memorable evening, is therefore particularly welcome.

If I am to draw your attention to one particular moment in the evening's raucous proceedings
it would be to the calamitous opening of 'Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today'
which is very nearly derailed but for the stirling achievement of drummer Mr Hurley's fine technique
in wrenching the rest of the ensemble firmly back onto the tracks.

I like it but I thought it was a CD/DVD pack not just a CD with live versions of the songs, anyway I still love Fall Out Boy but I'm a little disappointed

5.0 out of 5 stars Live and rocking 4 Oct 2009
Format:MP3 Download
This album is fab! It's one thing if a bands songs sound good in a recording studio but another if they also sound great live! Love Patrick's unique and interesting voice. Okay so they may be a bit emo but they are definately a guilty pleasure for a lot of people. Great for bopping along to when you can't think of something to stick on when getting ready for a night out!
