About the Artist

Wolfstone s success can undoubtedly be attributed to their ability to transfer their highly acclaimed recorded material to the most fantastic and unforgettable live performances. This ability has seen the band headline major festivals throughout the world. They are a headline act from heaven. They entertain and put smiles on faces of all ages without fail. Just an exceptional talent - Pat Garrett, RGM, USA Describing Wolfstone s music has always caused debate, but is best described by the man who founded it all, Duncan Chisholm At the end of the day we are a rock band from the Highlands of Scotland that happen to use pipes, whistles and fiddles in our repertoire This description probably underlies Wolfstone s success in attracting a large and loyal following from fans of all genres, be it Rock, Celtic Rock, Folk Rock, World Music etc. The unique blend of guitars, fiddle, pipes and pulsating percussion; all combined with a dynamic stage presence; are all well-known hallmarks of this unique and exciting band. Wolfstone is quite simply a band that believes in the strength and spirit of their music, a band that consistently proves that its music can sell to all ages and cultures around the world and most importantly, a band that can perform live on stage, exactly what you hear on their Albums.

Wolfstone in the arena 12 Aug. 2012
By Dominic La Pinta - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Thought I'd write a review for this album, since there arent any. Here goes:
Wolfstone. The only band that combines traditional highland and rock together and as a result creates a unique sound that cannot be mimicked by any band in any way. Born in the states here in America, I knew I would probably never get to see this awesome band in person, so a live album is just the right thing to give me a feeling of how they would be live. Even though I understood the spirit of their music all to well. Them being my all time favorite Highland band, and probably one of my favorite all time bands period. Anyways, this album has most of their songs off of seven on it which is my all time favorite Wolfstone album. So thats two for the price of one. Hearing them live and hearing them doing most of the songs off of my favorite release of theirs. The other songs that arent from their album "seven" and remixes of older songs of theirs which are great, especially when they married "Dinners set" and :Clueless" together, creating, as I call it; "clueless on steroids." I also love how they lengthened "Bellavanich", a song that I thought was awesome in its studio glory but should have been longer, in which they did here. I also really love how they end the album with "Maggies". A song that singally proves what Wolfstone is to me: Bringing Highland music into the grand arena rock genre and keeping its own authenticness and creating its own uniqueness in which nothing else can reproduce it. A skilled team of musicians who come together, combining their own talents and love of music into a cornucopia of Highland awesomeness.
