Format:Audio CD
A marvellous mixture of the McCalman's musicianship, combining their gorgeous plaintive melodies and tradition with belly laugh humour reviving memories of their unique West Highland village hall tours. You can try and reproduce their singing at a party or in the bath, but nothing compares to Nick's whistle played with feeling.
"Cholesterol" should become the anthem of Rotary Clubs worldwide, "Don't waste my time" refers to every household with a teenager in it, and "Wrecked again" the song you always wish you could remember the words to at summer parties.

This CD is a wonderful mix of humor, emotion, and simply good musicianship. The music is heavily influenced by traditional Scottish styles, while the subject matter is very contemporary. I bought this album for the cover of "Libertas Ragusa" after I found it virtually impossible to get ahold of Allan Taylor's original version. However, I've found all of the songs on the CD marvelously entertaining.
