Season nine American Idol winner, self-taught singer, songwriter and guitarist, Lee DeWyze, releases his debut album Live It Up. Inspired by musicians like Dave Matthews, Ben Harper, Ray LaMontagne, Cat Stevens, and Kris Kristofferson, DeWyze created Live It Up with the intent to lead listeners through compelling tales of relationships, with all of their ups and downs. Starting with his cheerful first single, “Sweet Serendipity,” DeWyze sets a free-wheeling and light tone. Lee then explores themes of romantic uplift with “Weightless,” regret with “Stay Here” and “Dear Isabelle,” then conveys passionate urgency on the piano-driven tracks, “Me & My Jealousy” and “Beautiful Like You.” Collaborating with Toby Gad (Alicia Keys, Fergie), John Shanks (Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow), David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Weezer), and Norwegian production team Espionage (Beyonce, Train), DeWyze co-wrote all but one song on the album, and as such has become the very first American Idol winner to have writing credit on a first single.

This whole album is a great mix of great vocals and melodies that you'll catch yourself singing all day! I can't stop playing it and even when it's shuffled with other albums, the songs stand out. My only criticism would be that at less than 40 minutes, it's just not long enough! An outstanding debut album and I'll look forward to future releases!

I have to say this is a Brilliant Album.....and I was unsure if to buy it...but so glad I did, I put a track on Facebook and someone else bought it as well....very impressed with this guys voice

Great Album
I love this album. I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it as I haven't heard any of Lee's songs before but found his voice to be incredible. This is well worth buying!
