Yes a truly brilliant masterpiece. They are able to rework all of their songs on a live stage and still keep the central themes and spirit of the song. Highlights include Alive and kicking, Book of Brilliant things, somewhere in summer time, promised you a miracle, and of course the final song New Gold Dream.

Jim Kerrs voice is in stunning form and he uses it to the max in all of these songs. Charlie Burchils guitar work is also excellent. Don't you (forget about me) heard live is brilliant and I recommend this CD to fans and those not so interested in there music alike. I like it most because of its passion and energy. excellent

This the album that got me listening to Simple Minds music other than the traditional favourates Don't You (Forget About Me) and Alive and Kicking. The album has a great uplifting feeling to it that comes from the electric guitar and the keyboards. There is not one dull song on the album and is definatly worth the price. The only question remains after listening to this album is that of why have Simple Minds never released any other live albums? If unsure give the album a go!

Mr Bombastic
The album chronicles them at their world conquering best, and as such, is usually vilified for the usual reasons. Subtle as a boot in the face. Pretentious and over the top. Read more

turn up the volume!
Simply a fantastic snapshot of the time, and Simple Minds at their peak. I would suggest max volume in the car or on headphones to get the best effect from this. Read more
