WISHBONE ASH BIOGRAPHY! !
The classic rock bands of the late ’60s and early ’70s enjoy a unique place in popular musical history. The Beatles had gone their separate ways, Britain had already experienced the Blues Boom, and Psychedelia had made its impact. The creative possibilities were infinite.

What a superb set this is - fantastic sound quality, a great set list and a storming performance. This line up of Ash is certainly one of the best and their interpretations of the Ash classics are a real breath of fresh air. I would highly recommend any self-respecting rock fan to buy this album, as for any Ash fans....well you should already have it in your collection, should you?

Great album and one for any Ash vinyl collector, this is a must. They still sound great after all the years that have passed, and I would recommend this as well for any Prog Rock lover. Good pressing and great quality recording.

As good as, if not better than the DVD and I can now listen to it in the car! Top notch performance of Tales of the Wise one of my favourite modern era WA songs. Muddy's guitar playing steals the show

Easily one of their best! 2 Sept. 2010

If you are a Wishbone Ash fan, then you either love this version of the band, or you believe Andy Powell should have changed the name of the band, there isn't much middle ground. Personally, I love it because it IS Wishbone Ash to the core. No band will ever replace the original band, I need to say that up front. That said, if I cannot have Martin Turner (who is brilliant) singing who better to convey these songs than Andy who is a pretty gifted singer in his own right. Bob Skeat handles the high harmony pieces and is a superior bassist and Muddy Manninen sounds like the perfect fit playing with Andy. Their guitar interplay and intricate 2 part harmony soloing is truly superior. On offer here is a great mix of Ash old and new with personal favorites like Tales of the Wise, Blowing' Free, Ballad of the Beacon, The King will come, Warrior, Blind Eye and a truly magnificent version of Valediction. This is Ash at their best in a club full of avid Ash fans, it is truly a band in their element doing what they love to do. If you can land this on CD or DVD (I recommend both if you can find them) it will quicly become a favorite. I have pretty much every Ash release, and live is what they do best;this easily rates with their best work so you will be glad you gave this a listen.

Recommend for the Andy Powell Wishbone Ash era fans. Discs are well mixed, sounds good for a live album, or so my Klispch say. Also bought the matching DVD, be aware it is not widescreen. I am a big Wishbone Ash fan, most everything they do I recommend, minus the Techno area. Seriously I would add this CD to my collection.
