This is possibly the best irish music ever recorded. My one regret in life is that I did not see Moving Hearts perform.
The excitement of this live performance is truly thrilling. The musicianship is breathtaking. the songs are very cleverly written (maybe political - but that makes no difference to me - as an Englishman, I didn't get the references, just loved the music). Christy Moore at his best singing them. The beginnings of the Davy Spillane phenomenon, his 'duets' with Keith Donald (alto sax)are tremendous. Take any one of the artists and follow their careers, each one produced wonderful music. Imagine them all together and getting everything right.
Play it again and again and find youself singing it all day long.
I can't imagine anything better. It is the best ever.

This is some of the best live Irish music ever recorded. I was lucky to see Moving Hearts perform several times and was at this show which was recorded at the Dominion Theatre on 28th February 1983.
Christy Moore had left the band before this recording and most of the vocals were performed by the excellent Mick Hanly. Guitarist Declan Sinnott sang 'Let Somebody Know' and a few of the tracks are brilliant insrumentals.
This is a great CD, but their last album, 'The Storm', is even better.

Undoubtedly one of the best bands ever. So much to say about them but, for this review I would only say that its a shame that Hiroshima Nagasaki Russian Roulette isn't on it - truly a masterpiece of a song which makes your hair stand on end when you hear it. Track (no pun intended!) it down on of their other albums!
