Live In Germany was filmed at the Grugahalle in Essen, Germany for the Rockpalast TV series. Hot on the heels of their classic Deguello album (it features 9 of the 10 songs from it) the show finds ZZ Top before sequencers and synthesizers epitomising their lil ol blues band from Texas nickname. Complimented by tracks drawn predominantly from their Tres Hombres and Fandango! albums this is a true best of ZZ Top in the seventies. This DVD was originally released as part of the two disc Double Down Live set in autumn 2009 but is now being made available separately to tie in with the band s 2010 European tour dates.

The Rockpalast Gig from ZZ TOP in Essen Germany is just awesome and one of the best I have ever seen. They have always remained true to their boogie rock and blues foundation. What they do is done extremely well. They have established themselves as one of the best hard rock bands in the business during the last four decades.
