Were you at the ALbert Hall in February to witness another superb concert/tour from this evergreen, often-panned Band ? If you were then this album is for you. The music's great (I believe the whole set is contained), there's a nice mix of old tracks and new material from 'The Ladder' released last year. However, nothing could ever recreate the atmosphere created at the climax of 'Awaken' when the arena literally exploded and millions of tiny pieces of paper descended on the audience from high - maybe a video release should be considered ? Some of the tracks already appeared live on cd a couple of years ago on 'Keys to Ascension' so there's a bit of duplication but that's inevitable when great songs such as 'Awaken', 'And you and I', 'All good people' and 'Roundabout' are played at almost every Yes gig. It's good value for money at nearly two hours length. Should you buy it ? YES !

A superb live cd by one of the best prog bands ever. No matter how many changes Yes make to their line up, the music never suffers. An excellent cd well worth having in your collection.

I've had the DVD of this gig for ages and decided it was time to listen to Awaken in the car, so bought the CD. First I downloaded the MP3s and listened on headphones and found the mix skewed to the high frequencies, but thought that was just my cans, so on a long drive this evening I tried playing the CD in the car and it's abysmal - far too much treble and no midrange. What a disappointment! I've followed Yes since the 1970s and this is the first badly mixed LP, Cassette, CD or DVD I've listened to (I won't mention the Live at QPR semi-bootleg which isn't an official release). I assume the engineer who mixed this CD is around 20 years older than me (I'm 54) and he (or she) can't hear high frequencies - either that or the studio monitors had a midrange driver with double the intended sensitivity.

Sorry Yes, 2 stars is generous

If you attended one (or more) of the shows on Yes' »The Ladder« Tour, you simply have to have this double album. The band seems in better shape than ever, during this live perfomance at the House Of Blues.
Admitted - »House Of Yes Live From House Of Blues« is not quite as brilliant as the two »Keys To Ascension« double albums' live tracks. But it does provide a nice mixture of very new Yessongs and older Classic Yes. The downside to this is, that there are too many songs from »The Ladder« here.
Several times, the band plays with new experiments on the old songs. E.g. »Perpetual Change« has a pretty bluesy feel to it in this live version. Also, Igor Khoroshev shows his often underrated skills throughout the album, especially when he 'just' plays the piano. This matches the beautiful acoustic guitar especially on »Your Move/I've Seen All Good People«.
»House Of Yes Live From House Of Blues« might not be a superbly unique concert recording but it is a must for any Yes fan.
