Don't easily be hoping (nor expecting) that you're going to get some unreleased / archived Humble Pie performance that someone in the music biz (it happens sometime, but not this time) had discovered some live show on aging cassette in their sock drawer, stash box, basement, etc. Sorry to have to say that this is the same EXACT show that shows up of the much-welcomed (back then, anyway) live unedited (for the most part) gig that was previously put out on the live Humble Pie 'King Biscuit Flower Hour' disc - from a May, 1973 shindig. I mean - sure it's good to hear "4 Day Creep", Their homage to the Stones with "Honky Tonk Woman", Marriott's masterpiece "30 Days In The Hole" and the true classic "I Don't Need No Doctor" (always like W.A.S.P.'s version of it as well). But I much prefer the King Biscuit pressing - for one thing, the CD booklet is better. Line-up: Steve Marriott - guitar & vocals, Dave Clempson - guitar, Greg Ridley - bass and Jerry Shirley - drums. Heard that the Silverline label (was it?) released a cool vintage Humble Pie live show. Need to check that CD out when I can.
