4.0 out of 5 stars Works excellently - after a little modification, 11 Sep 2008
By Steve B (Northumberland, UK) - See all my reviews
We live in the country and have had one of these Pest-Stop traps for a couple of years now. When we first tried it we caught nothing despite the door closing on it a few times so I thought it was worthless.

However, I stuck a heavy metal nut to the door (the side that faces down when the trap is primed) to give it a bit more weight so it would close quicker and since then we've caught about 20 mice ranging from small to large and only once seen the bait gone without a mouse inside.

As for bait, I agree that they love chocolate - they've had a fair bit of my Dairy Milk between them!

So, I would recommend it but only with the modification - I came online to see about getting another one or two!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mouse trapped, 12 Jun 2008

It took two weeks but I found a mouse in the trap yesterday and have now released him a good mile away. I used raisins and ice cream cone wafer as bate and placed along the wall by a bookcase. Good product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked every time, 10 Jan 2008
By Mr. Richard Dumville "Richard" (London U.K.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
My cats often bring mice in then lose them. Bought this trap, laced it with peanut butter and set up against skirting board (as mice usually run around edges of spaces). To date it has caught 6 out of 6. To detach the food end for letting mouse out and cleaning, I squeeze the main body of the trap and the detachable end simply pulls off.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Great, simple design - works every time our rubbish cat loses one of the 'little friends' he brings in. Peanut butter seems to work well (although they do end up a bit greasy!).
