The Arrogant Worms are, as the intro to this album tells us, a unique blend of music and comedy. While their studio albums are well worth it (and how I was first introduced to them), the Worms' true strength lies in their live performance. When I had only heard the studio recordings, I thought the Worms were a funny, curious and mildly entertaining group. The live versions give a taste of the actual humour and personality that underpins the group, and turned me from someone who might give them a listen, to and avid fan. While the songs on this album are of their older material, several of the funniest songs are to be found here such as "Carrot Juice is Murder", "The Mountie Song", and my personal favourite, "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate". Thank goodness the Worms are beginning to be noticed accross the Atlantic.
