I fear I am going to disagree with previous reviewers.
I purchased this DVD with great anticipation. I am a fan of Paul Rodgers who has a great voice and songs repertoire and I also have a number of Live at Montreaux DVD's which are always well produced.
Be assured there was nothing wrong with the production , picture and sound quality or with Paul's voice which was excellent. But I found the backing music very heavy, ponderous and overpowering. Definitely not in my view "heavy blues" as you get from the late, great Gary Moore.
Neil Schon who I am also a fan of with Santana and Journey just didn't seem to get into his stride on lead guitar and the boredom was only relieved by a couple of tracks with Steve Lukather of Toto fame who at least added a bit of lightness and variety.
Previous reviewers have praised Brian May - certainly a great guitarist in the Queen mode but in my view he was pretty appalling at this gig. And Jason Bonham, yes a great drummer but not here I am afraid.
Such a shame because the song selection was good and Paul sang well ( even when drowned out). Unfortunately this concert just didn't do it for me.
