It is a pity that the sound is not too good in parts of the Radio 1 recordings which make up CD1 and CD2. It doesn't do justice to the atmospheric Orbital sound which I like. You would think that the BBC would have people who could record decent sound really so it is a shame. However pop the DVD in and there is no issues with the sound quality, it is full and made even better by being able to watch the shows at the same time. It is worth buying for the DVD alone. If I had to criticise the DVD at all, it is that they faded out one of the tracks prior to the end which is annoying. I still recommend it though as Orbital were great and the DVD is excellent.

I'd agree with the previous reviewer on the sound quality. There are moments where the sound quality isn't brilliant. I'm guessing based on the attribution that it's culled from the BBC recordings for airing during the Glastonbury festival coverage. As such it's not bad by any means, just not what you might expect from a dedicated recording. But what these recordings *do* offer is a chance for Orbital fans to relive the vibe and excitement of Orbital's live performances. I was there at Glastonbury 1994 (as well as many other Orbital gigs) and I clearly recall these songs. It was a phenomenal gig. Easily a highlight of Glastonbury for me. I distinctly remember thinking "space aliens have landed" when Orbital took the stage after Bjork. It was my first time seeing them live...

So a good record of many live performances... The DVD has some really nice moments especially Chime in 2004. End of an era nicely captured.

This is definitely up there with the best live albums that have ever been released. Orbital made their name (and helped Glastonbury's) with their legendary gigs at Glastonbury over a 10 year period, and their live shows were well known for creating that amazing atmosphere of combined light and sound that is so unique to festivals, and particularly in the 1990s, Glastonbury.

Normally I might think a sort of Best Of album with crowd noise etc would not really be ideal listening, I'd rather have the studio versions, but in this case it IMPROVES the listening experience because even if you weren't there at the time, you feel like you were! Definitely a must-have album for anyone who likes dance music

While I agree with some of the previous reviewers comments on the choice of tracks (especially on disc 1)along with less than perfect sound quality in places, overall this is a great collection. I was fortunate enough to see them live on a number of occasions and nothing has come close to the atmosphere of the shows since. The fact that a live DVD is also included in the package makes this well worth anyone's money. Although not my favourite album track the live version of Belfast is magnificent.

First law of collections: not everyone will agree with any given list of tunes. First law of live albums: the sound quality will be imperfect. OK; got that? Then do yourself a favour and buy this - it is as damn near the definitive live Orbital collection (without resorting to 10 CDs) as you are ever gonna get, and if you like the involvement and atmosphere of live sets you will revel in these ones. This has finally replaced the 2002 BBC set in my playlist and frequently brings goose-bumps to my body and tears to my eyes... (no more live Orbital! - though I did see Phil with Long Range at the dance area this year and was well impressed - so keep an eye out for him.)

A classic album from an Iconic Band. If you have only one Orbital album in your collection this has to be it.
