5.0 out of 5 stars The CD of the tour of 1998! 10 April 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Hmm, Albertane? The fictional capital of Mars, dreamed up by brother Zac, for the song, Man From Milwaukee.

From the first note to the last goodbye you hear Hanson, live from Seattle. As the first few bars are played and the screaming gets louder you could almost close your eyes and be there. They show themselves as a credible band who can really kick it live.

The screams in the background don't drown out the music and adds to the whole atmosphere of the CD. It's fast-paced and lively allowing you a taste of just what to expect if you ever have the chance to see Hanson live.

A personal favourite is Ever Lonely, a previously unheard song showing the direction Hanson were moving towards for their forthcoming album.

The only drawback is that you can't see the energy the brothers put into their performance. For that you need the tour video, The Road To Albertane.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, no lip-syncing here, just pure talent. 6 Aug 2000
By "hitz23" - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
When I first thought about getting this album I didn't think it would be worth since more than half the songs are already on the Middle Of Nowhere album. From the clips I had heard there was too much screaming so I didn't think it would be very good. I changed my mind when I heard the song "More than Anything." It is an amazing song that the guys actually wrote back in '95 or '96. Isaac finally gets to solo on this song and it is beautiful. So I got the album and let me tell you, it is TOTALLY worth it! If you are a new Hanson fan since "This Time Around" came out and are considering buying Middle Of Nowhere, I would suggest buying this instead because the vocals on this are much better and they has also improved instrumentally. You can really hear through their voices that they feel what they sing, they don't go prancing around on stage to some pathedic filtered "music," they are TRUE musicians who write and perform their own music. I really recommend this album to anyone, old or new fans, it is a piece of true talent, I promise it will not dissapoint you. Hanson, keep rocking on!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hanson Can Blow the Mind 13 Oct 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

Live From Albertane is an unbeliveable album! When I got the CD I couldn't believe how much better they guys had gotten! For all of you who couldn't stand Hanson for Taylor and Zac's voice buy this CD and hear the difference! Most people didn't even know it was Hanson when I played it for them! They even liked the music *shock* *surprise*! Songs like Where's the Love, Gimme Some Lovin', River, MmmBop, and Man From Milwaukee are spectacular favorites and; some are reranaged from their original versions and made into smash hits! This album keeps my CD player real busy. Go out and buy this NOW!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Live from Albertane - when they live they mean live!! 10 Jan 2004
By Frank Phillips - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
great, it feels like your there!!! some person wrote that they didn't like it because MMMBOP does not sound quite the same as it did on middle of nowhere, well of course it doesn't hanson is older now their voices have changed a bit and it's live, so if you fell in love with hanson for their baby voice - you fell in love for the wrong reason. This is the best live cd i have ever heard and if your worried about there being screaming in the middle songs- worry not because there is really none except in the begining and end of tracks - so check it out and if you like buy and then check out their Christmas cd - Snowed in mg:)
