This live concert album recorded during the Manchester leg of their A Present for Everyone tour, which was the predecessor for the subsequent live DVD featuring an extra 4 tracks and bonus material, was released on the eve of Busted's impending break-up and it seemed the record company knew all about it, releasing the band's first live album which features all the singles, serving as something of a greatest hits live edition. The album was released on 1st November 2004 and as well as having all the singles, there is 1 other song from their latest album A present for everyone, their cover of The Undertones' Teenage kicks, which they performed at The Brit Awards.; I know I am in a select few people when I say this but I think their cover is far, far better than the original, with a much more rock sound, and there's the studio version of their movie theme tune Thunderbirds are go!. The album only made it to number 11 in the UK chart.

The album's artwork has pictures of the boys playing their instruments and photos of them onstage. The album's length is a mere 43:05, which doesn't include the whole concert and is suitable for the fans with a less significant attention span!

The album begins with 2 and a half minutes of just fans screaming and echo effects from their singles, which may put you into that concert atmosphere and give anticipation the 1st time but is quite boring to relive everytime you listen to the album and you'll probably end up skipping it. Then begins the intro to Air hostess which starts us off very nicely. Yes the songs do sound similar to the original versions and there are no significant changes, but isn't that what most people want when going to see a band anyway, especially their teenage audience, which made up about 95% of the fan-base?

Ok...so imagine the situation. You see an advert wanting guys for a new band, so you respond, get the gig, and when you realise the scale of how big things are gonna be do you say "Cheers for the offer but I think I'll go back to school college etc."?! No, did n't think so. They were a pop band and they were a good pop band, presenting non-offensive, very catchy tunes to the kids of the UK and beyond. This album captures the spirit of a live gig and the rapport the boys have with the crowd. Everyone is having an amazing time and this comes through clearly in the music. Mostly good songs, played and sung well, for a live gig and easy to listen to in any situation. So if you have ever secretkey or otherwise, liked Busted or are curious get this album. Now they are gone it is well worth purchasing to remember one of Britains freshest pop acts of the decade.

First things first - I'm not exactly Busted's target audience - I'm 34 and have a respectable job in computing... That said, I think Busted's singles are the catchiest pop music to come out of Britain in a very long time, and I own both the studio albums, much to the scorn of my contemporaries.
I picked this album up on a whim, having decided that the embarrassment of being twice the age of the rest of the audience made actually going to a concert a step too far. I have to say that I am quite disappointed. The production on the studio albums is first-rate - this album is poor both in performance and recording. The screaming from the audience between songs is at a volume where it becomes annoying, and the overall sound mix is pretty muddy. I could forgive that if it had captured a good performance, but it would seem that Busted on stage are a little scrappy - the vocals in particular are very poor, with lines and cues being missed and all three members struggling to hit the right notes from time to time. There's no real atmosphere to the recording either - maybe good as a souvenir if you were there, but a bit wasted if you weren't.
That said, the quality of the material still comes through - songs like "Crashed The Wedding", "What I Go To School For" and "You Said No" are irresistably catchy even in these less-than-brilliant versions, so in spite of my reservations, this seems to be getting at least equal airtime with the new Manics album in the car...

This arrived VERY quickly and I am thrilled with the product. I love Busted and I love this CD. I have just been to see McBusted live so this made quite a nice follow up, so much so that my Dad kindly offered to buy me the DVD version as well! It was a great price, my only fault is that the inside cover, which pulls out to make a long poster, had gotten wet at some point, meaning it crinkled and all stuck together. This was a shame as it ripped all the imaging off when I tried to open it. But this does not affect the music, so I'm not too bothered considering how this was such good value for money

it's a bit poppy but still entertaining and is an easy listening experience that keeps you entertained all the way through the disk

I remember hearing my first ever Busted Song - "Year 3000". But for a while after they split (Unfortunately) I forgot about them. Until last year when my friend lent me "A Present For Everyone" And it instantly came back to me. I love this band.

Now onto this live album. I have 2 words for this............ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING!!!!!

I now own both studio albums and this and I find myself playing this on my iTunes all the time that's how much I love this band. If you're a fan of Busted and you don't own this album........search for it where ever you can and if it's in good condition and at a low price, then GET IT!!!!!!!!!
