Not too bad, but not so good either, 17 Aug 2004
Let me tell you before I begin, that I am a big 2pac fan. I have all his albums (except for the Nu-Mixx Klassiks) and liked/loved most of them. Therefore I know what is good material in 2pac's musical collection. Now, on to this disc. This cd contains some live acts of 2pac, and overall, it is enjoyable, but certainly not Pac's best. Due to some bad sound quality on some tracks and strange sequence (first the Medly, then the Intro?) listening pleasure is ruined. There are some good tracks on the album, where Never Call you B*tch again has the best sound quality and Hit Em Up also has decent quality. The rest of the tracks is fairly bad sound quality, which is a shame since this could have been a great CD with the compilation of Pac's best live acts, but the small amount of tracks and bad sound quality make this one of Tupac's worst discs. Sure, it's fun to hear Pac live one time, but alone from some talking at the beginning of the songs, this isn't very special. If you have the tracks recorded in the studio, on the greatest hits album for example, this isn't worth your money. I do not know why people can't leave 2pac alone and can't stop releasing these below-decent cd's. Suge Knight knows that Death Row is nothing without Pac (and some other artists of the highdays of the label), so he compiles cd's to revive those who's revival is often more negative than positive. This is the same for this disc. Obviously this is yet another attempt of Suge Knight to get a couple dollars more out of this great (deceased) artist, which I actually find unrespectful. If Suge Knight really respected Pac, he would have kept it with the couple albums after his death like Still I Rise. Pro's: Good compilation of songs, nice to hear 2pac live. Low's: Not a lot of tracks, Live isn't as special as you would expect, bad sound quality, money making aspect of Suge Knight. Due to this the disc gets 3 of 5 stars.
