If you 'understand' the strange amalgam that is called 'folk music' then you should love this album. The musicianship is best described as 'skewed & wonky', but also quite brilliant & strangely affecting at times. The fact that they openly admit to 'revising' the given song lyrics (that is if you ever think that folk songs have fixed lyrics), because they couldn't be bothered to learn them, shows no lack of reverence, or love for the music they are playing. This is a joy from start to finish & possibly the best album available from the somewhat chaotic lack of a career from these 2 mavericks.

if some kid hadn't stolen my UPS package with this cd. What's up with kids these days? I bet he didn't even listen to it. I searched every local used cd store for weeks thinking no way a kid would keep a record by a bunch of old hippies, but some of these kids are hoarders apparently.
Anyway I still miss Crabtree.
