Product Description

The Freedom is ideally suited to long rambles or whole days out. It incorporates key features like the patented Anchor Point, side grab handles, top grab handles, reflective fabrics, toy loops, soft face protection pad and anatomically shaped child seat. The Freedom also uses an adjustable Airflow backsystem which keeps the main pack away from your back while you're walking. This increases comfort and reduces the heat of the pack against your back. The large base compartment has plenty of room for nappies and spare clothing, whilst the top is perfect for drinks, snacks, wipes and other essentials

I bought this product after having it recommended to me. My husband and I both find it comfortable to use, and it is easy to adjust the straps. I find it difficult to put on and take off and it helps to put the baby and carrier on an elevated surface. My baby enjoys being in it and he feels safe and secure. I would also strongly advise using the fothold at all times and never letting go as I have found it to be very unsteady once the baby is in.
It is one of the more expensive of the littlelife back carrier range as it has an additional rucksack on the back, which we find very useful. It fits everything we need when going out for the day. It has the additional bonus of having a pocket on the waist bell where you can fit cards, money and a phone. There is also a mirror so that you can check on your baby without having to take the back carrier off. We did have to buy the rain cover as an added extra but worth the money.
There are a few different models of this back pack, and I found that the Littlelife website had a comparison chart which helped me decide which one to buy.

We have used this carrier for one year now, from age 6 months to 18 months and I cannot fault it. The carrier is very well made, still looks as new and our daughter is very happy being carried in it, the longest she has been in it so far was about 2 hours and she has never complained, whereas she now gets bored with being in the buggy. she has fallen asleep in it several times so I assume it is comfy to sit in. The integrated bags are useful and it is comfortable to carry for both my husband and myself, it is super quick to adjust the level of the shoulder starps to allow for different heights. My husband particulalry appreciates the netting which allows airflow, so you don't get a sweaty back. The only tiny thing I would change is to add some stirrups or other footrests, which would make it even more comfortable (can be purchased seperately I believe). I also want to add that for those who like using babycarriers like the moby or the ergocarrier as opposed to the baby bjoern or similar - the seat pad is fairly wide, so the child does not appear to hang in the carrier but sit well-supported with bent knees. The construction is so that you pull straps on several points which encloses the child front and back into the carrier, whoch gives as much upright support as you need depending on your child's age (only use it when your child can hold their head up easily though, this is not suitable for tiny babies)

Lightweight, robust and comfortable for both parent and baby. This does what it's supposed to do. At 12 months old our daughter is happy in this for about an hour at a time. Being up high, able to see everything and generally more part of the adult world all seem to contribute. The position the child sits in is akin to a horse saddle, except there are no stirrups for the feet. That would be my only potential quibble with the design. All of the weight of the child is in the saddle and there is nothing for them to push against to adjust their position. That may actually be a good thing, but on balance, it would have been interesting to see what difference such a change would make.

We've used this about a dozen times so far, generally for gentle hour long hilly walks, but also for quick trips to the shops where the carrier has substituted for a buggy to give more mobility.

Overall, the quality of the product is reflected in the price, but having seen it being used and recommended by other parents, we felt comfortable purchasing without seeing how our daughter would take to it first.
