These mats act as a great way to get my 2 year old to sit still long enough to eat a meal! She loves the colourful designs and practises her letters and numbers while she eats. They are easy to clean. Only two downsides - when I put hot(ish) plates on them the mats instantly buckle with the heat, but they do seem to go back to normal ok when they cool. Also, there is no non-slip backing so the mats tend to slide around the table as my daughter fidgets! Only a matter of time before a meal ends up on the floor I think!

My children love these and seem to be identifying the letters with other words too, so obviously educational at the same time as doing the job keeping the table clean and keep them amused! Washes easily, good quality and durable.

I bought this to protect the table while feeding my 15-month old. He loves the colors and pictures, but the trouble is that the placemat doesn't stand up to daily wiping/washing. The color fades very quickly (within the first week).
