Product Description

About the Author

I am the author of "Little Whispers", a collection of short stories. I published "Violet's Story" in 2001 and have now added it as an e-book. Paperback versions of both will shortly be available. My novel "The Knowing", which is the first in the Jen Keith trilogy, will be out as a paperback and e-book, from publisher Austin Macauley this spring. I am working on "A Love Like Ishinnie", the second part of my Jen Keith trilogy and "The Diary Of A Fat Cow" about an over-weight night shift worker at 'Tesco'. I am Scottish, grumpy in the morning, (my girlfriend might say I was grumpy all day), support Arsenal and Rangers and drink lots of Irn Bru. Partial to a tattie scone and square sausage when I go home. I like music to be played loudly and am not keen on spiders. At all.

More About the Author

I am the author of "The Diary of a Broken Heart", "The Knowing", "Violet's Story" and a collection of short stories called "Little Whispers", all available as e-books or paperbacks. On 2nd November 2014, I won the Ultimate Planet (New) Author of the Year Award.

"The Knowing" is the first in a trilogy featuring Glasgow psychic Jen Keith and her police officer girlfriend, Kate Coutts. I am currently writing the second instalment, "A Love Like Ishinnie." Planet of the Books reviewed "The Knowing" and said..."...this book is probably one of the best I've ever read" giving five out of five stars.

I have finished my next book, called "The Diary of a Broken Heart" (coming soon) about the ordinary life of an over-weight Tesco night shift employee called Viv. Viv loves a good "Heart attack hamburger" and Jeremy Kyle. But she is forced to re-examine her life and her past loves when she is diagnosed with cancer.

I am Scottish, love football (supporting Arsenal and Glasgow Rangers), labradors and pickled onions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Written with a big heart 23 Jun. 2014
By Hesch
Format:Kindle Edition
A collection of little stories, loud thoughts and heavy emotions, written with a big heart. "Little Whispers" asks questions, leaves you wondering and thinking and sometimes it also might make you feel uncomfortable - though not in a bad way. The author cares for her voice and chooses wisely how to tell you what she wants to tell you. And so every now and then you are being attacked by a sentence that reaches your deepest. And you're thankful for that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Heartfelt Mix 12 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Some lovely heart-felt pieces in here, with content ranging from obsessions with Cliff Richards to collecting 'Vulva Puppets'. There's a lot of heart and innocence in this book, and it was very touching to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let Karen Whisper her stories in your ear 12 Mar. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What an in touch charming read, I can recommend this book to any reader. A collection of short stories I think helped to make this such a page turner. If you don't mind a suggestion clear a couple of hours for just you one evening make your self a large cup of hot chocolate and settle down with this book for a darn good read.
