This CD combines the songs from Elvis' last few movies, which had noticably less songs in them than his pervious films (in fact, "Charro!" only had one song in it, played during the opening credits). Nevertheless, and disregarding the films box office performances, there are some good songs here. "Almost" and "Almost in Love" are Elvis trying his hand at being a pop-crooner, and work better than you'd expect. "A Little Less Conversation", in a very different mix than the two versions on this disc, would chart in the Top 10 in much of the world decades later. "Edge of Reality" is the only psychedelic-type song Elvis would ever record, and it ain't half-bad. Even songs as fluffy as "Have a Happy" and "Let's be Friends" are listenable, even if they are far from his best. Admittedly there is some stuff that only the most dedicated Elvis fans will desire (case in point being "Signs Of The Zodiac", which barely features Elvis at all), but considering it's dire reputation, a suprisingly amount of this is not only worth listening but also worth owning.
