This is a beautifully-made product; my 2-yrs.-old grandaughter loves it! It is bright and colourful and it's a very manageable size. It is big enough to produce a pleasing sound - unlike some! H&S concerns see its sticks safely tethered and they clip into the body of the drum very well. If there is a slight criticism - from an adult player, mind you! - it is that the length of the soft, wide cords (another plus-point) are just the slightest bit too short to enable the drum to be played on both sides at once; it is possible but awkward. Maybe the absence of a factory-fitted way of wearing the drum wisely reflects Health & Safety concerns about neck cords, but it is truly a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT that can produce satisfying sounds with hand, fingers, beaters for playing along with those jolly kiddy CDs. It does help children's sense of rhythm; the smiles are huge and it doesn't drive the household's listeners crazy.
We looked at many variants before choosing this drum and believe it to be the best around for a very fair price. Delivery was fast and the smile on the birthday-girl said it! "Brilliant!"

I guess as a drum it;s ok, but the strings on the drumsticks are so short my baby can't really use them much - she raises hand and the drum moves after the drumstick. She prefers to bang on the round carton box with a big wooden stick, so for the moment is not used much.

This was a wise purchase for my 19 month old for christmas. Very sturdy and i love the fact that the drumsticks are attached! There are enough small toys wedged down the back of my sofa as it is! Toddlers can be heavy handed so i don't mind her throwing this about a bit as it looks like it can withstand it. Overall, we are pleased with this, and it is not too noisy either. Hopefully it will inspire my daughter musically too!

You can get much better drums for the price
Not very impressed at all with this 'drum' actually it's just a plastic cylinder with two plastic sticks. For the same money you can get really nice mini drums for children. Read more
