My little girl seems to be an adrenalin junkie! For the past month I have been trying to persuade her that climbing over the sofa to get to the conservatory window sill and teetering along it is not such a good plan, but she doesn't agree!
I looked at a number of climbing options and thought this looked sturdy and fun with a few years of play use before she gets too big for it (Probably be bungee jumping by 5!) She is quite diddy wears 9-12 month clothes and there's a lot of effort and grunting to climb the plaforms but after 3 attempts she can manage it independently. The slide is quite steep and fast and she loves it.
It is bright and attractive in a very chunky plastic little tykes type of way - always thought I would go for the natural wood option, but there is nothing suitable for toddlers.
Obviously she needs total supervision every second. It is not enclosed, but it does say suitable from 2 years. Providing you are confident your child will never be able to climb unattended I don't see any problem with a younger child having one.
I can't imagine she will still get much out of it age 6, which is the range suggested, Probably by 4 she will be ready for something a bit more challenging. I envisage many happy hours spent playing with her on this over the next couple of years. and am hoping she will increase her vocabulary and say 'Up' as well as 'No' in the not to distant future!
