This is an attractive, solid, fun-filled toy kitchen. My 2 year old loves it and I can see many years use out of it. It's compact and yet has everything.
Infact its solid build is also its downfall - it's a little over-engineered. The packet is already large and heavy in its unbuilt state. The pieces are packed as tightly as is possible. Every screw, hook, nail, handle, hinge ... you have to assemble. Nothing arrives pre-assembled. Even the hands on the clock have to be put together. I suppose if some hinges/screws/etc were already in, the already large packet would be even bigger.
So this is my advice - BE PREPARED. You have to assemble it before your child even sees it. Make sure you have an electric screwdriver (to save your wrists - but not all screws can be tightened this way) and a hammer. Despite being well-equiped, DIY fiends, and 2 of us, it still took over 3 hours to put together.
Despite this, I would still choose it over the other toy kitchens on the market because it's built to last. The reward is a top quality toy and a happy child.
