Book Description

4 April 2011
As the title suggests, this is a book full of delicious little squares and slices that can be eaten for morning or afternoon tea, as a lunchbox treat or as a heavenly after-dinner indulgence. Some of them are rich, luscious and decadent little mouthfuls (especially the ones made from chocolate and coffee, caramel and butterscotch and custard and cheesecake) some are more restrained (those made from oats and grains, and fruit and nut). All are irresistible and with 80 recipes included, there is sure to be something to suit everybody's taste!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful recipes 2 Jun 2011
By Sabine
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
A wonderful baking book, from Women's Weekly. It has inviting recipes and beautiful and moutwatering recipes. Just like all the other Womens Weekly books, there are recipes in it, that are already published in other books. Nevertheless, this edition has a lot of new surprising recipes. I can really recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something for everyone 8 Aug 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The lay out of this book is great with mostly one recipe to a page and beautifully photographed throughout. The recipes are easy to follow and well laid out. There are some recipes that are very familiar but others that I'm excited to try out. Whilst this is an Australian publication the ingredients are given in imperial and metric units (I don't get on well with American cup measures). As I do a lot of markets and festivals these recipes will make a great addition to my menu.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another reason to become addicted to AWW 13 Jan 2013
By L. Villa - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a very good collection of recipes for pan, bar and single layer cakes and cookies and filled goodies from Australian Women's Weekly. I 've already tried 3 recipes and gotten praises fom my current crop of 'guinea pigs' (otherwise known as friends and willing baking product reviewers). Very excited to try more as more time passes.

In the interests of honesty, though, I have to admit to being a collector of cookbooks and I tend to like a lot of them. And I have a rule that any cookbook I buy has to have at least 5 interesting enough recipes after reading the first 20 pages or so to justify buying them. But I do have to say that I have collected over 35 (you don't want to know how many I actually have of these since I first found them in London) of AWW's and every single one has provided recipes that I have successfully made and garnered praises for serving or making. And there are definitely more than 5 recipes intriguing enough to try within 20 pages of their books,

It has pleased me no end that Amazon has started listing more AWWs as time has passed as I used to have to go on vacation abroad to find them as they were not regular bookstore fare here. This book is definitely a keeper and great for bake sale ideas as well as just for household treats making.
